What are the personal pronouns in Indonesian? (saya, aku, kamu, Anda)

Short answer

Indonesian has two main pronouns for "I"saya (polite, default for strangers) and aku (intimate, with friends/family). For "you", use Anda (very formal), kamu (informal), or Bapak/Ibu + name (respectful default). A unique feature: Indonesian has two words for "we"kita (includes the listener) and kami (excludes the listener). Pronouns are often dropped in casual speech once the subject is clear.
